Early May Garden

Color is beginning to show in the garden. The David Austin roses and the Knockout roses are starting to bloom. Lots of scapes on the daylilies so blooms season will soon be here. I added a couple of foxgloves to the garden last fall and definitely want more!

First Blooms

This small bloom on a Lenten Rose is the only thing in bloom in my garden now. But it is the promise of things to come. The beginning of a new season of bloom with so much to look forward too.

Spring Fever

Today was wonderfully warm. I was able to spend most of the afternoon in the garden cleaning up some of the garden beds and looking forward to the blooms of early spring. The weeping cherry is one of my favorites. Posted by Picasa

Thinking of Springtime

Seeing pictures of tulips and pansies makes me wish to be in the garden. As the days lengthen we will soon be able to welcome these blooms into our lives once again. With the snow flying outside the window and the temperatures hovering near the 10 degree mark all I can do now is study the garden catalogs and wish for the flowers of spring.

All Dolled Up
Off tomorrow to a meeting of daylily folks where we will see so many beautiful flowers.
